In 1965, local dentist Robert Chase began the first benefit golf outing in our area to raise funds for our monastery, and dedicated businessmen on the committee have kept it thriving ever since. In 2002 the “Golf Stag” went co-ed, and although ladies are welcome, the nuns do not attend–our job is to stay home and pray for good weather!
The Carmelite Golf Outing is held in June each year
at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa
Golfers have the opportunity to play The Wolverine Course for $175 ($200 at the door).
Each participant will receive a certificate for a discounted future round of golf on The Spruce Run golf course, and a box of PRO V1 golf balls.
