Our daily Masses are open to the public, and everyone is welcome to worship with us.
On Sunday and Saturday, and most Holy Days of Obligation, Mass is at 7:30am and on weekdays at 6:55am. Our Chaplain hears confessions after morning Mass each Saturday.
After much prayer and study over the past few years, the nuns decided to have the Extraordinary Form of the Mass celebrated in our chapel most of the time. We find that the theological depth of the prayers, the richness of the ceremonies (which we are privileged to see close up from the side) and the greater silence all contribute much to our contemplative way of life. We invite anyone interested in learning more about the Extraordinary Form to attend Devotional Latin Appreciation classes held at the monastery. Learn more here.
The nuns will provide “bare bones” Mass texts on leaflets, but the best way to enter fruitfully into this traditional form of the Mass is by using a hand missal. There are several editions for sale on our book rack, and they are also available at Holy Rosary Bookstore in Cedar, Michigan, which is open Saturday mornings from 9-12 and after each weekend Mass. See their website here.
Mass is celebrated in the Extraordinary Form daily in our monastery chapel except where noted on the monthly calendar. You can view a downloadable/printable calendar here.
